Item Specs

The Falcata was one of the most feared weapons of the ancient Roman Army. It has been theorized that the sword was introduced to Hispania by the Celts. By the time the Romans encountered this blade it was in wide spread use by the Spanish Barbarians, Celts, and Iberians.

The fear the Romans had of the sword was not without good cause. The weight and aggressive curve of the blade allowed the Falcata to split shields and helmets wide open. Once the shield was split the sword would just as easily take off limbs and cleave enemies in two.
