Description Item Specs

The Claymore was the sword of Scotland. The sword came into widespread use during the 13th century in Scotland and was used up until the 17th century in Clan wars and border disputes with England. On the battlefield the Claymore was a fearsome opponent. It was slightly shorter than the average two handed sword of the time allowing it to be wielded faster, but with the same crushing blows as its counterparts.
Features
  • Blade: The blade of the dagger has been constructed from 440 Stainless Steel with a ridge down the center of the blade. The blade comes slightly sharpened with a very sharp point.
  • Scabbard: The scabbard is wooden with a steel trefoil drag and ornate steel scabbard throat.
  • Guard: The guard of the dagger is steel with the traditional Scottish design of downward sloping arms ending in quatrefoils. A Languet is fitted on each side of the guard to secure the sword in the scabbard. The Languets are heavily patterned with Celtic knotwork.
  • Handle: The handle of the dagger is wooden with a steel pommel. In the center of the pommel is a crest in relief.
