The Castle of Ibelin was built as a strong hold against the Muslim attacks from Egypt during the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem. The castle took its name from the builders of the castle, the Ibelin family. Over a span of only two generations the family became one of the most important noble families in the Kingdom of Jerusalem.

Balian was the last Lord to hold Ibelin and was one of the most pivotal figures in the defense and surrender of Jerusalem. In the Kingdom of Heaven Balian is portrayed as a hero to both the Christians and Muslims, however this only brushes the surface of the real man and what he accomplished. He was respected by both sides of the war and eventually it was he that helped to end the Crusades.

Features

The Shield is Stainless Steel.
The Shield features a black Jerusalem Cross against a field of light brown.
For easy display the shield has been given a steel chain for wall display.
An adjustable arm strap and foam handle have been added so that the shield can be worn on the left arm.
The fittings are all secured with steel rivets.
