Description Item Specs   The Archangel Michael, or Saint Michael, is one of the most beloved and well known angels (next to Gabriel). Michael has been a warrior, a healer, and patron of Israel. He makes appearances in the Hebrew faith, Islam faith, and Christian Faith. The typical image of Michael is of an angel with large wings and a bared sword standing over Satan. Michael has been the patron of knights, healers, sailors, the city of Kiev, of Germany, the destitute and warriors. Depending on the source Michael is credited with aiding or influencing most of the major events in the Old Testament. In recent times Michael has become the patron of the police and EMTs. Overall Length: 46' Plaque Width: 7.75' Blade Length: 37' Plaque Length: 12' Handle Length: 7.5" Blade Material: Stainless Steel Blade Thickness: .125" Blade: Unsharpened, but point and ridges very sharp Blade Width 2.125" at widest point Condition: Brand New Features Blade: The blade of the sword is 440 stainless steel with a mirror polished finish. The ridge of the sword is a wide design. Imprinted onto the ridge are three symbols of medieval heladry the Fleur-de-lis for purity, the lion for courage and the eagle for strength. Guard: The guard is solid in the likeness of a golden wing of an angel. At the base of the guard is an intricate band separating the guard from the handle. Handle: The handle is solid steel with a golden finish. Three scenes are worked into the handle in a natural steel color. The first scene is Michael watching over Adam and Eve. The second scene is Michael defending Heaven. The last scene is the classic image of Michael with sword bared in one hand and scales in the other hand. Above the first scene is the cross of Jerusalem with a red iridescent stone in the center. The pommel of the sword, which contains the third scene, has four turquoise stones bordering the scene with another cross on the end of the pommel. Plaque: Easily Wall Mounted. The plaque is dark stained wood with wall mount screws.
