Handmade Munetoshi Tomoe T8 Katana Black

The Munetoshi Tomoe is a very unique performance cutter. By combining the characteristics of the Yuki and the Light Cutter, Munetoshi has created a katana with a weight and profile similar to the Light Cutter, but with the cutting capabilities of the Yuki. The blade has been constructed from through hardened T8 with a soft shinogi and no yokote. The soft shinogi helps the blade slid through tatami mats with almost no resistance, yet the presence of the shinogi still allows the blade to take on medium traditional targets with confidence.

The katana is ideal for complex consecutive cuts on light to medium traditional targets.

The Katana includes a sword bag, certificate of authenticity, spare seppa, and mekugi.

Features

Detailed Specs of the Katana:
Blade: The blade of the katana has been constructed from through hardened T8 carbon steel. There is slight niku on the ha and no yokote. The sword is capable of taking on light to medium traditional targets.
The blade comes full tang and very sharp.
Saya: The saya features a glossy black lacquered finish and bull horn koiguchi. The sageo is black cotton with golden shitodome.
Tsuka: The tsuba is blackened steel with a tomoe theme. The tsuka features two smoked bamboo mekugi. The ito is black alternating cotton over white ray skin samegawa. The fuchigashira and menuki are blackened copper with a turbulent wave theme.
