Features

Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from T10 Steel in a Maru Lamination. In accordance with Japanese tradition, the blade has been treated with a clay covering, applied to the entire sword except the cutting edge. The blade is then heated and quenched in water.
The combination of the quenching and the clay cover creates a significant temperature difference in the Ha of the blade and the rest of the sword.
The result is that the Ha cools much more quickly than the rest of the blade, the molecules of the cutting edge expand and push back the softer steel of the blade creating the traditional Japanese curve.
The Lion of Hattori Hanzo has been imprinted into the steel of the sword at the base of the blade.
The blade comes full tang and Razor Sharp.
Saya: The Saya is wooden with a high gloss black lacquer finish. The symbol of the bride has been painted onto the scabbard. Just above this is a shiny brass kurigata with a loose brown Sageo. The symbol of Hattori Hanzo has been meticulously carved into the wood of the saya. The Koi-guchi has been reinforced with Buffalo horn.
Tsuba: The Tsuba begins with a one piece brass construction Habaki. Two brass Seppas secure the blade of the sword. The Tsuba is a cut out black iron design.
Tsuka: The Fuchi is blackened iron with a golden leaf; Tsuka core is wooden with genuine Same (ray skin) and black Silk Ito Tsukamaki. Two Bamboo Mekugi secure the tang of the sword into the Tsuka, while bright brass Menuki decorate each side of the Tsuka. The Kashira is the finishing piece; another blackened iron fitting with a leaf.
