This is the Gothic Dark Knight Dagger and Plaque. Batman first made his appearance in Detective Comics in 1939. Batman was, right off the bat, a different kind of vigilante. He possessed no super powers and was at times a remorseless killer. After one story where Batman shot some monstrous giants to death, the comics came to give him a lighter image. The lighter tone of Batman almost ended the Dark Knight for good during the 50s and 60s. It was not until the 1970 that Batman once again was given back his dark tone. This mood was best seen in Frank Miller's Return of the Dark Knight and the Knightfall saga.

Features

The Dagger is 440 Stainless Steel, slightly sharpened.
The Dagger handle and pommel are Poly Resin with Batman crouching on the Pommel of the Dagger.
The Plaque is Poly Resin with two bats on each side, and a fierce Bat head in the middle.
The Plaque is easily mounted with a wall hook.
