The term Paladin was first used during ancient Rome as a chamberlain to the emperor and imperial guard. The term survived the fall of Rome and became a term for the highest officials in the Catholic Church. Charlemagne changed the name of Paladin from a church official to legendary warrior. His twelve retainers became the romantic warriors of the middle ages. This idea of the perfect knight being called a Paladin persisted into modern times. The term Paladin now refers to warriors who are benevolent champions of a noble cause.

Features

Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from 440 Stainless Steel. The blade been given a polished silver finish. A ridge runs down the center of the blade to the Ricasso. A cruciform steel fitting secures the blade of the sword. The fitting has been decorated with celtic designs and crosses.The blade comes unsharpened.
Guard: The guard of the sword is a part of the blade. The arms of the guard are viscous blades in a half moon design. The cruciform fittings that secure the blade of the sword also secure the guard.
Handle: The handle of the sword is ribbed with a red finish. A steel fitting separates the guard into two sections. The pommel of the handle is ornate with a flute design.
Plaque: The plaque is wooden in a cruciform design. The plaque is wall mounted.
