The Battersea Shield was recovered from the river Thames in 1857. It has been hypothesized that the shield dates back to 300 BC. Due to the ornate detail on the shield it can be assume that the shield was used for combat, but ritual. The design of the shield has been matched to those of the Celtic tribes of the land.

This shield has been inspired by the Battersea Shield. This is a reproduction shield of the Celtic tribes of England.
Features
  • The shield has been constructed from Poly Resin with a bronze finish.
  • Rivets outline the shield.
  • A small boss of rivets is surrounded by wings and serpents.
  • The shield is highly detailed.
  • An arm strap and handle allow the shield to be worn functionally.
  • A chain on the back of the shield allows the shield to be hung from the wall.
