This is the German Shield, featuring the Eagle of Germany. This coat of arms is one of the oldest state symbols in the world. The Eagle dates all the way back to the Roman wars with the Germanic tribes. During that time the Eagle was seen as the bird of the God Odin, and therefore divine. By the mid middle ages the Eagle had become the coat of arms for the kings of Germany. Despite the many changes that Germany has taken over the years the Eagle has remained a staple of the country.

  • The shield is constructed from 440 Stainless Steel.
  • A chain hangs from the back of the shield for easy hanging.
  • The edges of the shield are double reinforced with a steel border.
